Too few internet marketing gurus teach you the importance of repurposing your content in their introductory programs. They do not have a time problem because they know how to be efficient with their efforts.
You are also told you can build a website easily using a platform such as Word Press. Most successful internet marketers talk about the importance of key words but fail to mention that traffic does not purchase without good content. By now you already know that search engine optimization alone is not enough to bring more traffic to your blog and website. Keywords are important for marketing your product but keywords combined with quality content will put you way ahead of your competition. You are concerned, however, because you do not have the time to write all the content you obviously need to grow your business and you either cannot or do not want to hire anyone to write that content for you.
The good news is you can be efficient in your business by repurposing your content. Repurposing content is simply investing your time and skills to create good quality content one time and then using that content for different purposes. It may be an old school thought, but putting in the time and effort when you write the content will make repurposing your content that much smoother to achieve..
Here are a few basic ways to repurpose what you write. Repurposing blog posts is probably the simplest approach to use:
1. Combine two short posts that discuss the same topic and create an article; use part of a blog post as an email for an auto responder lists;
2. Combine two to four posts and create a class module for an internet home study course; Combine six or seven posts and create a free report;
3. Use those same blog posts as content for a 15 minute internet radio broadcast; .
4 Add the information to a free weekly teleseminar.
5. Combine two more blog posts on the same topic, create an article and submit that two free press release sites and popular freelance writing sites like Hubpages. These sites are frequently indexed by search engines like Google and any links to your website or product in that article is bound to give you more traffic.
Edit the repurposed post and include a link back to the original post using the entire name of the post to bring you more traffic. Even if someone is on your auto responder list and also subscribes to your blog, it is highly unlikely that they will remember where they saw the information in the first place.
In addition to making your business more efficient, consistency and repetitiveness are excellent catalysts for building trust and good relationships with subscribers. If your content is good, do not waste it.
